Job description

An opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team at Queens Hospital Burton.

This is a permanent band 6 role, and the post offers full-time or part-time hours. Leadership experience is an advantage.

The Sister / Charge Nurse takes responsibility and is accountable for delegated nursing care within the clinical environment. They provide nursing leadership and are accountable for patient, public, and staff experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the ward
  2. Offering clinical leadership
  3. Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
  4. Responding to incidents
  5. Ensuring smooth patient flow
  6. Communicating with all members of the MDT
  7. Providing mentorship and guidance
