Job Description:

SISS Station Systems Technician - Level 4 in Glasgow, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts. Contribute to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the Station Systems Technician will perform planned preventative maintenance and assist with reactive maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, and SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). The role involves working permanent nights from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am, based at our Pirin Court Depot near Canning Town.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting qualified technicians with fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens
  • Attending maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining SISS assets and reporting faults
  • Using field IT equipment for maintenance data
  • Liaising with Telent Service Centre for fault updates and tasking

Ideal candidate:

This is an entry-level role suitable for hands-on individuals who enjoy multi-tasking and learning. Experience in a similar role or understanding of Network Rail safety procedures is beneficial.

Key requirements:

  • CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background
  • Understanding of O365 and IT awareness
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Availability to work nights at Pirin Court Service Centre
