A leading organization is seeking a Single Homeless and Commissioning Team Manager to oversee and enhance the Rough Sleeping & Homeless Support Team. This pivotal role will involve strategic leadership, service development, and ensuring effective delivery to meet housing needs in the borough. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in housing services, a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, and a track record of successful bidding and commissioning.

Purpose:Essential knowledge:
Significant experience and understanding of services provided to people within the areas of offending, mental health, substance misuse, and complex needs.
Extensive knowledge of Housing Act parts VI & VII (as amended by the Homelessness Act), associated case law, and relevant housing legislation or benefit regulations.
Knowledge of duties owed under the Children’s Act and landlord & tenant legislation.
Essential experience:
Educated to degree-level or equivalent experience in housing, advice services, or customer-facing roles.
Experience working at a strategic level with a record of achievement.
Broad experience managing staff, budgets, and contracts.
Experience in bid writing, commissioning, and policy development.
Proven ability to work effectively with elected officials, voluntary sector, and private landlords.
Experience managing homeless intervention and prevention services with a focus on cost reduction.
