Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Broughton, North Wales, invites undergraduates to join a 12.5-month placement year in our Single Aisle Wing Value Stream Management team. Start date 16 August 2027, location Broughton.

You’ll gain exposure to the wing manufacturing lifecycle and work across engineering, production planning and digital tooling. You'll be supported by dedicated coaching and mentorship as you contribute to capacity projects and learn project management basics within a dynamic aerospace

What you will be doing

• Connecting with Teams: You'll work alongside different departments and learn how we collaborate with our international assembly lines. It's a great way to develop your communication skills in a global setting.

Requirements

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Skills and Competencies

• Studying for a degree in areas like Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain / Logistics, Computer Science or something similar.
• Tech-Savvy & Eager to Learn: You're comfortable with tools like Google Workspace and keen to learn about new digital tools.
• A Team Player: You enjoy working with others and are happy to collaborate.
• A Clear Thinker: You can look at a problem, think it through, and help break it down.
• Ready for a Challenge: You're keen to learn new things and can adapt when plans change - it’s a dynamic environment!

SECURITY CLEARANCE

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
