About The Role
Our Singing for the Brain sessions offer people affected by dementia a chance to enjoy a fun activity within a supportive environment, and we need your help to make this happen!
Singing for the Brain is a structured group session, based on principles of music therapy and singing, for people with dementia, who may attend alone or with a carer. These sessions provide an enjoyable activity and social opportunity for attendees.
As a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer, you will welcome and converse with people with dementia, helping them feel comfortable. During the session, you’ll encourage participation and support the facilitator with activities, either online or in person.

This group meets weekly on Monday afternoons from 1.00pm to 3.00pm at St Cuthbert's Church Hall, Lytham Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3AR.
