A leading company in maritime technology is seeking a Simulator Operations Engineer to oversee simulator operations in Belfast. The role requires a strong technical background with a focus on delivering high-quality simulation experiences for clients. You will lead maintenance efforts and ensure safe, effective simulator sessions, collaborating with internal teams to foster innovation in maritime training. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience in the marine industry.

Artemis Applied Technologies is the consulting and engineering services division of Artemis Technologies. The company offers advanced technical solutions to both internal and external clients, including design, engineering, and simulation services for the maritime, offshore energy, defence, high-performance sport, and clean technology sectors. These services aim to help organizations address complex design and engineering challenges, adopt clean propulsion technologies, and transition to more sustainable operations.
Within Artemis Applied Technologies, the Simulation department delivers projects related to real-time simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It is also responsible for the Artemis Technologies’ in-house performance prediction tool chain and motion-platform Simulator.
THE ROLE:
Artemis Applied Technologies develop and operate several simulators at our facility in Belfast. The simulators are used by our clients for a wide variety of use cases from vessel concept design and on-board system development to crew training. The Simulator Operations Engineer will take the lead on the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the simulators. The remit will also support running of safe simulator sessions for internal personnel and external clients. The candidate shall have a strong technical and practical background.
