Job description

Medical Education is a well-established team composed of Doctors, Clinical Educators, and Administrative Staff. A unique opportunity has arisen for a Simulation Technical Assistant to join during an exciting period of expansion.

Are you enthusiastic about using your technical and communication skills to improve patient care and safety? Do you have a creative and imaginative mindset? If so, we would like to hear from you. We deliver and design simulation-based education to help healthcare staff and medical students learn, rehearse, and perfect clinical skills and teamwork. You will be an integral part of the team supporting technical and administrative services.

This role suits individuals who are versatile in working in different environments and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. You should be able to establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals at all levels. You will work closely with the Education Hub Manager, identifying workload and completing assigned tasks.

While primarily based at Cameron Hospital in Windygates, the role offers opportunities to collaborate across multiple sites within NHS Fife, requiring travel as needed.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a passion for problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues. Competence in Microsoft Office is required for administrative duties, and you should be able to handle and set up large equipment for educational purposes. Training will be provided in the use of simulated manikins, AV equipment, and other devices.
