Job summary

Archangel Lightworks Ltd in Oxford is seeking a Systems Analysis & Simulation Engineer to join our engineering team. You will perform simulations and analyses to optimise optical Space-to-Ground communication links and services, forecasting link availability from meteorological data and sensor inputs.

You will develop and utilise the company's simulation tools, analyse large datasets, and communicate results through reports and visuals to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in modelling/simulation
• Proven ability to develop and test analyses and simulations
• Experience analysing empirical data and large datasets
• MATLAB/Simulink and Python proficiency

Responsibilities

• Develop and test forecasting algorithms for link availability using meteorological data
• Estimate link performance and optimise based on conditions and empirical data
• Develop and use simulation tools to assess network-level performance for site selection and architecture
• Create technical reports, visuals, and presentations for stakeholders
• Support development and testing of other analysis/simulation tools to improve products
