MBDA Simulation Engineer Opportunities at Stevenage

MBDA has several unique Simulation Engineer roles available within our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Team at the Stevenage site.

Salary and Working Arrangements

• Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid working: Typically 4 days per week on-site

Security Clearance

Applicants must be British Citizens or Dual UK nationals with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG BPSS checks.

The Role

As a Simulation Engineer, you will:

• Develop complex, real-time missile test simulations
• Conduct indoor missile firings and analyse performance
• Adapt to new engineering challenges and understand simulation and missile behaviour
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure integration and debug interfaces
• Analyse system performance and suggest optimisations
• Apply software design principles for real-time applications
• Work with Linux OS, C/C++ programming, and microcontrollers like Raspberry Pi

Candidate Requirements

We seek candidates with broad engineering experience, particularly in:

• Software design for real-time applications
• Linux OS familiarity
• C/C++ programming skills
• Microcontroller experience, e.g., Raspberry Pi
• System performance analysis and optimisation
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of object-oriented programming is a plus.
