Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive is interested in hearing from junior funds lawyers, available from August / September for an upcoming client assignment.

Your day to day responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:

• Setting up new trading vehicles, new products, and new funds.
• Managing internal and external investors – transfers, redemptions, and fund decommissionings.
• Negotiating IMAs with third-party managers.
• Assisting with seed deals.
• Liaising with Compliance, Tax and Finance to manage queries and run audits.
• Amending fund documentation.

Person specification:

• You are a qualified investment funds lawyer with substantial hedge funds experience.
• You have experience across Caymen and/or Delaware fund structures.
• You are accustomed to working in a complex, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
• You are able to hit the ground running, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
• You will be based in or have the ability to travel to London.
• You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
