Job summary

Brightstar Hospitality Management is seeking a professional Bartender to bring energy, professionalism, and creativity to our bar. You will prepare and serve drinks to the highest standards while delivering friendly, engaging service that creates memorable guest experiences.

You will greet guests, understand their preferences, upsell premium drinks, keep the bar clean and well-stocked, and work closely with the team to maintain brand standards and a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of drinks, cocktails, and mixology basics.
• Ability to multitask and stay organised under pressure.
• Passion for guest service and high standards.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous bartending or hospitality experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the bar and build a friendly rapport.
• Engage with customers to understand preferences and recommend drinks.
• Support colleagues during busy periods with clear communication.
• Handle guest feedback with professionalism and positivity.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Represent Brightstar’s values in guest and team interactions.
• Upsell premium products and hotel promotions where appropriate.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Follow drink recipes, presentation standards, and responsible service guidelines.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, hygienic, and well-presented.
• Process payments and operate the till system.
• Restock fridges, spirits, and garnishes to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Monitor quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Comply with licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene regulations.
