Job summary

Network Rail is seeking a Section Planner to keep the railway running safely and efficiently. You will develop and optimise work plans, coordinate access to the railway, produce safe work plans, and lead planning meetings to ensure activities are delivered on time and safely.

Ideal candidates will have strong scheduling and planning skills, experience with access and possession processes, and a proven ability to build effective relationships across teams. Band 5 salary from £30,119.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing work plans and optimizing resources.
• Experience with work planning/scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of access and possession processes and systems.
• Familiarity with Safe System of Work planning process and system.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise work plans to maximise efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate access to the railway for maintenance work.
• Produce safe work plans and associated documentation.
• Manage planning meetings and ensure records are accurate.
• Ensure planning records and systems are kept up-to-date.
• Support maintenance activities to be delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
