Overview

Sign Maintenance Engineer Assistants – Join the UK’s Leading Signage Maintenance Company

Cygnia Maintenance is the UK’s largest signage maintenance provider, trusted by major clients. We’re looking for a motivated assistant to work with our lead engineer and help run one of our Vans. We have positions in the Tonbridge and Dartford areas. Fantastic overtime earning potential. Can be located anywhere within these areas.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain, repair, and clean retail signage across well-known UK brands.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
• Learn how to maintain and check signage for safety.
• Ensure all signage meets safety and integrity standards.
• Work safely at height and complete manual handling tasks.
• Travel to different sites (be open to early starts, late finishes, or overnight stays).

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Driving license.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling.
• Clean Basic DBS check (or ability to obtain one).
• Must be over 21 to be covered by insurance
• Applicants should have transferable skills (handyman, sign fitter, shop fitter, shutter fitter, general builder).
• Proven ability to work independently and use basic hand tools.

Desirable (training can be provided):

• Experience in maintenance, construction, or signage.
• Knowledge of H&S, ladder use, or electrical safety.

Salary – £25,396.80 per annum
