Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal (both Comfort and Unified HMI platforms).
• Understanding of HMI/PLC integration and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with version control and structured engineering documentation is desirable.
• Willingness to support site commissioning if needed.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Anemoi's Senior Control Design Engineer to assess and re-engineer existing Siemens Comfort Panel HMIs.
• Migrate user interfaces to Siemens Unified HMI panels using TIA Portal (V19+).
• Ensure system compatibility with existing S7-1200/1500 PLCs and communication protocols such as Profinet.
• Test and validate updated HMIs in simulated environments, with support to commissioning if required.
• Document and hand over solutions to Anemoi's engineering and project delivery teams.

Anemoi Marine Technologies - a clean tech engineering firm disrupting the maritime industry with wind-assisted propulsion systems. Headquartered in the UK with global delivery across major shipyards, Anemoi's Rotor Sail systems are helping the world's shipping fleet reduce fuel consumption and emissions. As part of a critical upgrade to onboard automation, we are looking for a short-term Siemens Programming Engineer to support a key HMI migration project.

What will you be doing?

• Work alongside Anemoi's Senior Control Design Engineer to assess and re-engineer existing Siemens Comfort Panel HMIs
• Migrate user interfaces to Siemens Unified HMI panels using TIA Portal (V19+)
• Ensure system compatibility with existing S7-1200/1500 PLCs and communication protocols such as Profinet
• Test and validate updated HMIs in simulated environments, with support to commissioning if required
• Document and hand over solutions to Anemoi's engineering and project delivery teams
