Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd. is seeking a PLC Controls / Commissioning Engineer to support turnkey automated warehouse and material handling systems across the UK. The role centers on Siemens TIA Portal programming, commissioning and on-site troubleshooting, with flexibility for extended site stays.

The successful engineer will develop, test and hand over control software, work alongside a small UK team and international colleagues, and be prepared to travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

Strong Siemens PLC programming skills with Siemens TIA Portal.
Experience with automated warehouse, conveyor and material handling systems.
Hands-on commissioning, testing and fault-finding on customer sites.
Willingness to travel/spend extended periods at UK sites.
Background in electrical engineering, automation or mechatronics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Program, develop and modify Siemens PLC software using TIA Portal.
Commission and troubleshoot automated warehousing systems on-site.
Support turnkey projects from software development to installation and handover.
Diagnose electrical, control and software faults during commissioning.
Collaborate with UK and international engineering teams.
