Matched by our staff feeling “proud, rewarded and making a difference” by working in this special setting, this is perhaps quite a different role to what you might have expected.

About Us

We are an established and successful charity providing hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West of England. We aim to recruit passionate, friendly and enthusiastic staff who are motivated to really make a difference to the lives of the children and families who visit us.

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic person to join our sibling team at Charlton Farm. You will have a sensitive hands-on approach to help meet the specific needs of the brothers and sisters staying with us, by providing activities and opportunities for play, as well as emotional support and bereavement care when needed. Our sibling team focus specifically on ensuring the brothers and sisters stay is a positive and happy experience. Applicants should have experience of working within a health or social care setting and relevant NNEB play qualification, or equivalent, as well as a thorough understanding of the need for confidentiality, and the ability work independently and as part of a team.

We provide respite, palliative and bereavement care for children with life-limiting conditions on a one-to-one basis. Having the time to build relationships with children and their families whilst they are at the hospice and between visits helps to make our roles incredibly fulfilling.

Working as part of a friendly team, Charlton Farm offers a beautiful, welcoming, well equipped workplace within a supportive environment where you will be recognised as a valuable individual member of the sibling team.

98% of our staff strongly agree that they enjoy the work they do at CHSW and we value our staff and offer an excellent working environment with an enthusiastic and committed team.
