Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer to cover shifts across Leeds, York, Bradford and surrounding areas. You will train for a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise and provide holiday and sickness cover at multiple client premises.

You will work across various hours per week and be flexible to cover days, nights and weekends. Corps Security promotes internal promotion and development, with first consideration for permanent vacancies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
• A UK Manual Driving License - essential.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• Ensure that patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours protection if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and site-specific reports.
• Ensure familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or recommendations.
• Maintain your training records via Corps Colleague Portal so that skills remain up to date, especially first aid and fire marshal training.
• Continuously apply SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Licence must be displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
