Job description

Compact Security Services has great opportunities for confident & experienced SIA Licensed Security Staff to join our team working at festivals and events this Summer.

Roles will commence in May, with opportunities throughout the Summer until September, working at some of the largest festivals in the UK on an event-by-event basis. Rates start from £13.71 - £14.29 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.

We provide free or subsidised transport from Manchester to all locations.

Duties will include:

1. Providing professional presentation and proactive customer service
2. Searching visitors and bags at entry in line with site policies
3. Understanding venue-specific prohibited items
4. Checking accreditation/tickets upon entry
5. Monitoring ingress/egress and safety in line with assigned positions
6. Monitoring crowd movements and behaviour, reporting potential issues or incidents
7. Understanding emergency procedures, safety checks, and company/site policies

Requirements:

1. Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication
2. High standard of personal presentation
3. Previous security/crowd management experience (preferred)
4. A valid front-line SIA Licence is essential
5. Ability to provide documentation demonstrating eligibility to work in the UK for at least 12 months
6. 5-year checkable work history (including education and unemployment); all offers are conditional on passing screening
7. Flexible to travel and stay away from home; camping may be required
