Job summary

LG Project Consultancy Ltd are recruiting two experienced Shuttering Joiners for a long-term project at Pilmoor Substation, near York. The role focuses on timber/formwork shuttering and requires hands-on setting out, installation, and dismantling from drawings and specs.

The rate is £30.00-£32.00 per hour, depending on experience. Working hours are Mon-Thu 07:30-17:30 and Fri 07:30-13:30, with paid 10-hour shifts; the assignment runs ongoing until Christmas.

Qualifications

• CSCS Level 2 Formwork Joiner - Blue Card or relevant equivalent.
• Proven experience as Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Joiner on construction sites.
• Good understanding of formwork and shuttering practices.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and constructing timber/formwork shuttering.
• Installing and dismantling formwork systems.
• Working from drawings and specifications.
• Preparing formwork for concrete pours.
• Ensuring shuttering is securely positioned and constructed to the required specification.
• Working safely around other site trades and construction teams.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety.

LGP Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for 2 experienced Shuttering Joiners to join a long-term project at Pilmoor Substation in York.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Formwork/Shuttering Joiners looking for consistent work through to Christmas.

Position

Job Title: Shuttering Carpenter / Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Joiner

Number of Positions: 2

Location: Pilmoor Substation, York

Rate: £30.00 - £32.00 per hour, dependent on experience and background

Duration: Ongoing until Christmas for the right candidates

Working Hours

• Monday-Thursday: 07:30-17:30
• Friday: 07:30-13:30
• Paid 10-hour shifts per day

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setting out and constructing timber/formwork shuttering.
• Installing and dismantling formwork systems.
• Working from drawings and specifications.
• Preparing formwork for concrete pours.
• Ensuring shuttering is securely positioned and constructed to the required specification.
• Working safely around other site trades and construction teams.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety.
• Following site procedures and instructions from the Site Management team.

Requirements

• CSCS Level 2 Formwork Joiner - Blue Card or relevant equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Joiner.
• Relevant construction/site experience.
• Good understanding of formwork and shuttering practices.
• Ability to work as part of a site team.
• Good commitment and reliability for the duration of the project.

National Grid BESC is NOT required for this position.
