Job summary

Bidfood Slough is seeking a reliable Shunter/Trunker Driver to join our Transport Team. This full‑time role is based in Slough with a Mid‑Shift pattern (Sunday to Thursday) and includes shunting, loading bay movements, and trunking between depots and customer locations.

You’ll carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with Drivers’ Hours and road safety legislation, maintaining high safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety legislation.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Flexible approach to meet operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Shunting vehicles and trailers around the depot safely.
• Moving vehicles to and from loading bays.
• Completing trunking runs between Bidfood depots and customer locations.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Delivering and collecting vehicles from garages, MOT stations, and external suppliers.
