Job description

Pay Rate: 16.16 + 10% premium

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift Patterns: Night shift

Location: Newtownabbey

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Night Shift Shunter to play a vital role in coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

What does the role entail?

1. Shunter driver for yard shunting using tug vehicles, driving between the main yard and trailer yard loading bays.
2. Yard / Boat shunting
3. Ensuring compliance with working time directive and EU driving hours legislation
4. Adhering to local legislation requirements and company policies and procedures

What do we need from you?

1. Valid Driving License C+E
2. Driver CPC certification
3. Previous experience in delivery driving (desirable)
4. Good knowledge of the geographical area (desirable)
5. Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
6. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
