Position: Shunter Driver

Contract Type: Permanent – 40 hours per week

Location: Baginton, Coventry

Shift: Nights (Sunday-Thursday / 19:00-03:30)

Salary: £41,477.10 per annum

About the role:

  • Safely position trailers/vehicles in a timely manner as requested by the Control Tower.
  • Manage yard areas, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, weighbridge, fuel islands, and walkways, to ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians, promoting best practices.
  • Challenge and report any non-compliance.
  • Drive company shunt vehicles safely and courteously according to site rules.
  • Report vehicle accidents and mechanical defects.
  • Fuel vehicles and undertake collection and delivery duties when required.
  • Ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, and goods.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks following established procedures.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking and loading bays.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current LGV driving licence.
  • Experience in a similar role.
