Job summary

Fairfax Meadow, part of Sysco GB, is seeking a Yard Shunter at our Derby site. You will report to the Transport Manager and oversee loading operations, managing a small fleet of vehicles to keep deliveries on time.

The role requires Class 1 driving experience with CPC, a focus on safety, and good teamwork. Shift is roughly 12:00–22:00, Sunday to Thursday, with training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving experience with valid CPC cards.
• Strong commitment to safety and health & safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small fleet of artics and trailers and coordinate with warehouse teams.
• Ensure loading operations run efficiently and on time.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold hygiene and safety standards.

A satisfying role Reporting to the Transport Manager this role is key to efficient operation of the daily loading process. Working at the heart of our business, you will be responsible for ensuring our operation runs as efficiently and timely as possible and managing a small fleet of 7 artics and trailers and 5 rigids working closely with the warehouse team. You will need to maintain food hygiene standards, minimise any damages and meet the highest standards of health and safety. Keeping accurate records and resolving on-site issues. You'll enjoy a
varied role and all the support and training you need.
