DW Burns Plumbers Merchants is a highly successful independent plumbers merchant and bathroom showroom supplying trade and retail customers from their sites in Knaphill and Farnham.

The Role

We have a vacancy for a full-time Showroom Sales Assistant to join our team at our Lansbury Branch. The goal is to maximise sales and margin for the Company. Build strong relationships through face-to-face contact or over the telephone. Ensure correct documentation is used and follow due process in a timely manner. Adhere to all Company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deal with all customer queries as professionally and quickly as possible, taking responsibility for the start to end sales process.
  • Prepare and manage effective meetings with customers in the showroom or on site.
  • Execute and coordinate the sale of the bathroom.
  • Ensure all customers are politely and efficiently served to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products.
  • Give a flexible service to customers whether on site or in the customers’ homes.
  • Drive sales forward using appropriate selling techniques.
  • Maximise sales using linked selling and other appropriate skills.
  • Ensure all enquiries and quotations are priced quickly and efficiently using market and system information.

The Requirements

  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience within the bathroom sector.
  • Good verbal communication skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to take and give instructions.
  • Organized in prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures at all times.

The Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00.

Week 2: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 and alternate Saturdays 09:00-17:00.
