Christopher Hyde Lighting, a renowned name in exquisite, handcrafted classical lighting, is seeking a dynamic and sophisticated Showroom Manager to become the face of our relocated showroom moving from Chelsea Harbour to Clerkenwell. This is a unique opportunity to represent a heritage brand at the very heart of London's vibrant design district.

As the Showroom Manager, you will be the primary ambassador for our brand, responsible for creating an unparalleled client experience, driving sales, and managing the flawless presentation and operation of our London home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Ambassadorship:Embody the values of Christopher Hyde, offering every visitor a welcoming, informative, and luxurious experience.

  • Client & Sales Management:Develop and nurture strong relationships with our key clientele, including interior designers, architects, and specifiers. Guide them through the collection, provide expert advice, and manage the sales process from initial enquiry to quotation and order completion.

  • Showroom Operations:Ensure the showroom is immaculately presented at all times, reflecting our brand's luxury positioning. Manage stock levels, visual merchandising, and day-to-day operational needs.

  • Business Development:Proactively engage with the local A&D community. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive footfall and sales.

  • Event Coordination:Plan and host showroom events, product launches, and client meetings to strengthen our presence within the Clerkenwell design community.

  • Reporting:Track sales performance, client interactions, and showroom activity, providing regular reports to senior management.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a polished professional with a proven track record in a similar role. You will have:

  • Essential Experience:

    • Proven experience as a Showroom Manager or Senior Sales Consultant within the luxury interiors, lighting, high-end furniture, or a related design sector.

    • A strong understanding of the sales process for high-value, considered purchases.

    • Experience working with a discerning clientele, particularly within the A&D (Architect & Designer) community.

  • Skills & Attributes:

    • A genuine passion for and knowledge of classical interior design and decorative arts.

    • Impeccable communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

    • Commercially astute with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

    • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work with autonomy.

    • A proactive and positive approach to networking and relationship building.

    • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM systems is desirable.

  • A bonus, but not essential:

    • An existing network of contacts within the London interior design community.
