Job summary

IOLLA, a Scottish eyewear retailer, is expanding and seeking a Showroom Openings Lead to drive new store openings from site search through to trading. You will locate sites, run fit-outs, manage budgets, coordinate designers, contractors and suppliers, and ensure openings hit time and cost targets while reflecting IOLLA’s space standard.

You’ll also oversee refits and ongoing maintenance across the estate, report to the Operations Manager weekly, and travel regularly to multi-site openings

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing retail, hospitality or commercial fit-out projects.
• Experience delivering multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Understanding commercial leases, planning and building control (Scottish/English systems a bonus).
• Comfort reading quotes line by line and holding contractors to account.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Find and assess target locations with agents/landlords.
• Own openings from plan to handover, multiple projects concurrently.
• Brief/manage designers, contractors and suppliers; compare quotes and value engineer where needed.
• Set and track budgets; flag risks and overspend early.
• Handle permissions: planning, building warrants, landlord consents and signage.
• Coordinate utilities, IT, fit-out, furniture and stock for openings.
• Refit, maintain and manage lease events for existing sites.
• Report weekly to the Operations Manager and Leadership Team.
