Job description

Bluestones Derby are currently recruiting for skilled Powder Coaters & Shot Blasters to join our client's team in Uttoxeter. The successful applicant will be responsible for processing a number of different sized products. They will have a keen eye for detail and be used to working tovery high specifications and standards, whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast paced production environment.

Due to the remote location of our clients site a full UK driving licence & transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing parts including sanding and filling and mixing and using 2 pack polyurethane paints
• Using powder coaters & spray guns to spray parts and ensuring the correct product is in the correct bay
• Checking for damage to any of the parts and immediately reporting them to the Team Leader
• Operating shotblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
• Checking route cards are for the right part and ensuring protection on the part is correct
• Plan work to minimise waste of raw materials and machinery ensure extractors, doors and all other work equipment are working correctly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shot Blaster /Powder Coater within an industrial environment including part preparation (sanding/filling)
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for colour matching
• Experience in Shot Blasting & an FLT licence would be an advantage
  
  

Pay Rate - £13 - £14 per hour

Working Hours: Fixed shifts, 36 hours per week:

• AM Shift - 6:00 - 15:30 Monday - Thursday (4 day working week)
• PM Shift - 15:30 - 01:00 Monday - Thursday (4 day working week)
