Job summary

NHS Professionals Ltd is seeking a short-term IT Asset Manager for a 3-month assignment based in Hemel Hempstead. The role focuses on stabilising and improving IT asset, software asset and configuration management controls, with emphasis on trusted asset data, CMDB maturity, lifecycle governance and audit-ready reporting.

The assignment includes stock control and procurement, with immediate availability and a 3 days-per-week in-office commitment.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset and CMDB management.
Ability to progress quickly in a short-term assignment with imperfect data and multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of ITIL service management and asset data supporting IT processes.

Responsibilities

Review asset and configuration management position and identify priority control gaps.
Manage end-of-life asset replacement including procurement.
Improve accuracy, completeness and usability of asset and configuration data.
Develop CMDB structure, ownership, lifecycle status and data quality controls.
Provide practical reporting on asset accuracy, risks and lifecycle position.
Collaborate with IT teams to improve accountability and adoption.
