Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking a short-term IT Asset Manager for an initial 3 month position in Hemel Hempstead. You will stabilise and improve IT asset, software asset and configuration management controls, with focus on trusted asset data, CMDB maturity, lifecycle governance, audit readiness and reporting.

This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the Hemel Hempstead office, with immediate availability essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in IT Asset Management or CMDB improvement.
• Ability to deliver quick wins in short-term assignments with imperfect data.
• Understanding of ITIL service management and its relation to asset data.

Responsibilities

• Assess current asset data sources and identify priority control gaps.
• Manage end-of-life asset replacement and procurement of devices.
• Improve accuracy and usability of asset and configuration data.
• Develop CMDB structure in a new ITSM application with ownership and lifecycle status.
