Overview

We are looking to recruit Short Breaks Crew to join our Children’s Team across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, including our main venue, The Treehouse, in Hurn. Your role is to support more complex children and young people with additional emotional needs and disabilities and their siblings in their play at a variety of activities and to ensure positive outcomes and the continual safety, health, and wellbeing of the children and young people using Children’s Services.

Responsibilities
  • Support Children and young people to fulfil their social and emotional needs through play/activities
  • Provide an excellent level of support and care, taking the time to listen to, understand and ensure the children and young people we support remain the focus of your work at all times
  • To act in the best interest of the young people we support and treat them as individuals
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
  • Follow agreed care plans and risk assessments
  • To empower the young person being supported to make decisions and respect their choices
