Jackson Hogg Ltd is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join a North East port operator’s marine engineering team on a permanent, shore-based role in Teesside. You will maintain and repair a fleet of vessels, with a focus on safety, compliance and operational readiness.

The role involves planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems, plus liasing with surveys and audits. Monday to Friday, home each night. Training and development are on offer.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification (Level 3, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Marine engineering or vessel maintenance experience.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and repair activities.
• Fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Understanding of planned maintenance systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Planned preventative maintenance across the vessel fleet.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of vessel systems.
• Engine servicing and overhauls.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Testing and commissioning activities following maintenance works.
• Vessel lifting and docking activities.
• Assisting with vessel surveys and audits.
• Specification of spare parts and consumables.
• Maintaining maintenance records and defect reports.
• Contractor supervision when required.
• Supporting emergency repairs and operational call-outs.
• Ensuring compliance with marine safety and regulatory requirements.
