Job Description:

The Role:

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Manager of Shopping Experience. The Shopping Experience Manager’s role is vital for the smooth operation of the department, focusing on delivering the best possible off-price and omni-channel experience both in-store and online.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions supporting trade initiatives across the business. Strong influencing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging stakeholders and developing external agency relationships.

The role requires understanding signage and digital solutions, developing on-brand conceptual ideas that meet commercial and customer needs. A strategic and creative approach is necessary to bring innovative ideas to life across stores in Europe and online.

The Shopping Experience Manager will work closely with Central Operations, Store Operations, Property & Store Design, Ecommerce, Creative Services, External Store Design Agency, TJX Global brands, Marketing, and CR to build strong relationships that facilitate and enhance project outcomes.

What You'll Do

  1. Manage cross-functional collaboration with business partners to align with broader objectives, including brand, trading, and merchandising initiatives.
  2. Lead specific projects, developing clear briefs and overseeing ideas from conception to delivery in-store and online.
  3. Plan and brief the omni-channel customer experience according to business strategies and timelines.
  4. Drive innovation by working with stakeholders from concept to execution, influencing retail partners and messaging activities.
  5. Analyze and share insights from in-store and online project outcomes, providing recommendations.
  6. Build relationships with third-party agencies such as Print Production and Design Agencies.
  7. Develop a network within the business, collaborating with Central Operations, Store Operations, Property & Store Design, Ecommerce, Creative Services, Marketing, and CR teams.
  8. Promote a customer-first mindset and partner cross-functionally to innovate store concepts, supporting a seamless, commercial off-price customer experience.
  9. Leverage understanding of the in-store environment to communicate and promote the off-price model across all stores and markets.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in evaluating creative outputs and aligning them with brand vision.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work from agency partners.
  • Ability to switch between tactical and strategic approaches based on project needs.
  • Over 8 years of Brand/Marketing experience, preferably in retail.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in influencing cross-functional teams.
  • E-commerce and digital experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in large-format retail or fast-paced retail environments is beneficial.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience managing external design agencies effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current retail trends and practices.
  • Resilient, energetic, and enthusiastic with a constructive response to new ideas.
  • Ability to utilize customer insights and data to inform initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of the off-price retail model and customer behavior.
  • Flexible problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous situations.
  • Knowledge of TK Maxx / Homesense retail environment and practices is a plus.
  • European retail market knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
