Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Shopify Technical Lead for a fully remote UK role. You will architect and lead complex Shopify builds, mentoring cross-functional teams and owning the technical vision for storefronts, apps, and integrations.

You’ll work with architects, PMs and QA to deliver ecommerce solutions, champion best practices, and drive continuous improvement in an Agile environment. This is a senior, remote leadership position with clear progression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience.
• 3+ years in Shopify (Plus) development.
• Strong knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shopify Plus development across multiple client projects.
• Guide architectural decisions, scalability planning, and CI/CD setup.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews and champion best practices for maintainable code.
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
• Document technical solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints, ceremonies and incident reviews.
