Job summary

Altro is seeking an Ecommerce Website Specialist to own our online store and drive a smooth, engaging shopping experience. You will manage Shopify, refresh product content, optimize for search, and coordinate digital campaigns to boost online sales.

The role blends website management with data reporting, content creation and digital marketing, with hybrid work 3 days a week from our Letchworth HQ in Hertfordshire.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a Shopify website.
• Experience updating products, content and promotions within an ecommerce platform.
• Knowledge of Google Ads and social media advertising.
• Understanding of SEO (helping websites rank higher on Google).
• Experience using Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your workload.
• Strong written communication skills.
• A commercial mindset and interest in growing online sales.
• Experience with email marketing platforms.
• Basic image editing skills using Canva, Photoshop or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining our Shopify ecommerce website.
• Adding new products and updating existing products, including descriptions, images, pricing and specifications.
• Setting up promotions, discounts and special offers.
• Making sure products are easy for customers to find and browse.
• Updating homepage banners, website content and seasonal campaigns.
• Monitoring website performance and identifying ways to improve the customer experience.
• Ensuring stock availability is accurately displayed online.
• Checking website content is accurate, professional and error-free.
• Improving product pages so they perform well in search engines such as Google.
• Managing digital advertising campaigns across Google and social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
• Tracking website traffic, sales performance and marketing results.
• Producing reports and sharing recommendations on how we can improve online sales.
• Working with internal teams and external developers to resolve any website issues.
• Supporting email marketing and promotional activities.
• Keeping up to date with the latest ecommerce and digital marketing trends.
