Pay & Hours:

We offer our Shop Supervisors a rate of £12.71 per hour, with a 39-hour workweek spread over 5 days, Monday to Sunday. We are open to discussing flexible working hours to accommodate your needs.

Job Role:

As a Supervisor, you will work alongside our dedicated team preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes, and other food products in line with our standards. You will provide excellent customer service and promote high-quality fresh food. The successful candidate will be trained to Wenzel’s standards and will have opportunities for progression.

You will assist the Shop Manager with daily store operations, supervise the team, and contribute to business growth by increasing sales, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability. You will also lead and develop the shop team to build a loyal customer base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers and create an inviting atmosphere
  • Receive and check daily deliveries
  • Manage stock and produce
  • Maintain shop displays
  • Have excellent product knowledge
  • Prepare food according to specifications
  • Ensure food and produce quality control
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Work efficiently within a team
  • Handle cash and operate tills
  • Open or close the shop as required
  • Manage shifts at various times during the week
  • Drive sales and minimize wastage

Experience:

Previous supervisory experience in retail or customer service is required. Food production experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
