Job description

The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all activities and aspects of their shop alongside and in the absence of the shop manager. Processing donations for sale and providing excellent customer service, to maximise sales and profitability.Be an effective operational manager to the team of volunteers including managing their records, pricing of stock, security of the shop and its contents.The Shop supervisor will also have an understanding of statutory regulations relating to health, safety, trading standards and retail premises.

Main duties of the job

SalesAchieve agreed sales targets.Select and price stock at consistent levels and in accordance with St Marys Hospice guidelinesRotate stock so no item is on the shop floor for longer than the agreed timeCustomer serviceEnsure the highest standards of care and service to customersMaintain high standards of window display and internal presentation throughout the shopTo communicate to customers and donors via social media platforms.Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the shopCreate a pleasant environment for customers, staff and volunteersTo ensure the shop is open within agreed trading hours

Job responsibilities

Grange-Over-Sands 7 hours (1 day) per week

Our Grange shop may be small, but its mighty full of great bargains, fabulous donations, and feel-good vibes. While the Manager wrangles social media and secret missions behind the scenes, we need a calm, capable Friday superstar to keep the tills ringing and the shop buzzing.

Opening up & setting the tone Welcome volunteers, keep energy high, and ensure the shop is warm, tidy and full of life.

Sorting donations with style Process, price and present stock to keep our shelves irresistible.

Creating feel-good moments Offer a great shopping experience and help customers find their next favourite thing.

Keeping things safe Stay alert to hazards, lift safely, and know where the first-aid kit lives.

Multi-tasking like a pro From visual merchandising to banking, youll juggle it all with a smile.
