Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, individual with a passion for customer service to fulfil our Supervisor role at our on-campus shop.

This is a fixed term position ending on 31st May 2026, with the possibility of renewal.

Working Pattern -

08.00-15.00 | Mon-Fri

01/09/2025 to 21/12/2025

12/01/2026 to 22/03/2026

13/04/2026 to 31/05/2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of shop staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service and resolve customer issues as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies or stock as necessary.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and cleanliness of the shop.
  • Monitor sales, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting and cost control.
  • Collaborate with management to implement shop policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as required within the department.

Person Requirements

  • Experience in a retail or workshop environment, with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and sales reporting.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and standard office software.

Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 10 months

Pay: £15.11 per hour

Expected hours: 33 per week
