Job description

Hours: 30 hours per week, worked over four days to include some weekend working.

Salary: £25,583 – £26,676 per annum FTE. Pro-rata salary for 30 hours per week: £20,466 – £21,340 per annum.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a Shop Manager at our Worcester Mealcheapen Street Shop. The post holder will play a key role in managing a thriving and busy charity shop.

You will have overall responsibility for achieving set income targets and maximising sales, contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raising funds to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.

The role includes a range of retail operational duties and the management of our shop volunteers and an Assistant Shop Manager.

This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About you

You will have proven retail experience and some experience in leading or managing a team, with working knowledge of retail processes and merchandising. You will be customer-focused with the ability to work cohesively and motivate a team.

You will be business-minded and commercially aware, with a creative eye for window and shop displays. This is a standout opportunity to develop your retail skills, experience, and leadership abilities in a supportive environment.

Charity retail experience and working with volunteers is desirable but not essential.
