Retail Store Manager

£25,734 - £30,149 plus benefits

Reports to: Area manager

Department: Trading

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Location: Newark Shop

We're looking for a talented individual who shares our vision to join as a motivating store manager in our trading team. Your role will involve acting as an ambassador, motivating your team, engaging with the community, and achieving sales and fundraising targets.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Guiding and inspiring a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
  2. Managing the commercial aspects of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining standards.
  3. Leading by example to provide excellent customer and supporter service.
  4. Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
  5. Building relationships with the community and colleagues.
  6. Organising creative fundraising events to meet targets.
  7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, and HR policies.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in managing and inspiring a diverse team.
  • Ability to work within targets and motivate others.
  • Multi-tasking skills in a lively environment.
  • Knowledge of excellent customer service standards.
