Support Shop Manager

Full Time, Permanent position - 37.5 hours per week.

Working days are flexible, with 5 days to be worked over Monday to Sunday, and days off to be arranged accordingly.

This role will support shops across our catchment area, including Hexham, Prudhoe, and Ponteland.

Salary: £24,258 per annum plus benefits such as up to 7.2 weeks' annual leave (including bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, personal development budget, wellbeing initiatives, occupational sick pay scheme, and pension.

Join us in supporting a local hospice by selling second-hand goods, helping to reduce fast fashion's impact, and raising vital funds for end-of-life nursing care, hospital transport, and bereavement support across West Northumberland.

This role offers the opportunity to support retail operations across multiple sites, assisting in the absence of Shop Managers, and gaining experience to move into a permanent position as new shops open in the area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing stock through sorting, evaluating, and pricing, then selling via shop floor, eBay, or auction to maximize profit.
  • Supporting Shop Managers with volunteer recruitment, training, and retention.
  • Providing excellent customer service to create a welcoming environment and maximize sales.
