Shop Manager – Jersey

Location: 32 Queen Street, St Helier, Jersey JE2 4WD

Salary: £28,110 per annum

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Permanent

As this role is within Jersey, you must have your registration card, in order to prove your eligibility to work and reside in Jersey.

What will a day in the life of a Shop Manager involve?

• Leading a team that provides a brilliant shopping experience for your customers.
• Working on the shop floor, coordinating activity behind the scenes; no two days are the same.
• Designing the layout and environment that helps connect customers to our cause.
• Being responsible for achieving financial targets and inducting, training, and managing new staff and volunteers.
• Representing the British Red Cross to a high standard and embodying our core values.

To be a successful Shop Manager, what will you need?

• Retail experience at supervisory level. You can deliver outstanding customer service and are comfortable with organisational and cash handling duties.
• Proven management skills to develop and inspire your team.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work to targets and take initiative.
• PC literacy and proven IT skills.
• Commitment to the British Red Cross cause and ability to promote the Jersey shop as the charity retailer of choice.
