Location: Stockbridge, Edinburgh

Hours: 28 per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £24,766 per annum based on 35 hours per week

What will a day in the life of a Shop Manager involve?

• Leading a team to provide an excellent shopping experience for customers.
• Working on the shop floor and coordinating activities behind the scenes — no two days are the same.
• Designing the shop layout and environment to connect customers with our cause.
• Achieving financial targets, inducting, training, and managing staff and volunteers.
• Representing the British Red Cross and embodying our core values.

To be successful as a Shop Manager, you will need:

• Retail experience at supervisory level, delivering outstanding customer service, with organisational and cash handling skills.
• Proven management skills to develop and inspire your team.
• An entrepreneurial mindset to work towards targets and use initiative for great results.
• Proficiency with IT and computer skills.
• A passion for the British Red Cross cause and the ability to promote the shop as the charity retailer of choice in your community.
