Job summary

F/LIST UK is seeking a production leader to manage the entire production area across Woodwork, Finishing, Upholstery, and R&I, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations.

You will monitor compliance with industry standards, optimize resource deployment, and ensure on-time delivery across departments while driving continuous improvement in processes and layouts. A hands-on leader is essential to motivate a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Hold a technical degree in production or manufacturing or completed training as painter/cabinet maker/upholsterer or similar.
• Experience managing production operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven shop floor management experience leading production teams.
• Hands-on approach with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of production processes, resource planning and cost management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; liaise across departments and with clients.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage production area across Woodwork, Finishing, Upholstery, and R&I to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations.
• Monitor compliance with quality, occupational safety, process safety, and aviation-related standards.
• Optimize deployment of personnel, materials, and production equipment to maximize efficiency, capacity utilization and output.
• Ensure on-time production and delivery across all departments, proactively identifying and addressing risks, delays, or bottlenecks.
• Continuously review and improve production processes, workflows, and layouts to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve design/feasibility/production issues.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical and operational challenges.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the production team fostering accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

This location provides air aftermarket services for European customers, including cabin refurbishment, repainting, re-veneering, leather seat upholstery, wall panel replacement, carpet replacement and stone floor integration.

• hold a technical degree, ideally with a focus on production or manufacturing or have a completed training as a painter/cabinet maker/upholsterer or similar.
• bring experience in managing production operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• have proven experience in shop floor management and leading production teams.
• demonstrate a hands-on approach and strong leadership skills to motivate and develop your team.
• possess a solid understanding of production processes, resource planning, and cost management.
• have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and with clients.
• experience in implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and KPI monitoring.
• comfortable working in a dynamic, high-quality craftsmanship environment with complex projects and tight deadlines.
