Shop Assistant

Location: Oxford Street, London. Salary: £12.50 per hour. Working Hours: Full time, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (with occasional flexibility).

We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team at our vibrant clothing store on Oxford Street. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of the store, ensuring that every customer has an enjoyable and seamless shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and assisting customers as they enter the store, providing an excellent level of customer service.
2. Handling customer enquiries, offering advice on products, and helping them find what they need.
3. Operating the till and accepting payments in various forms, ensuring transactions are processed accurately.
4. Maintaining the store’s visual standards, ensuring it is tidy, well-organised, and inviting at all times.
5. Restocking shelves and displays, ensuring products are in the correct place and ready for customers to view.
6. Assisting with fitting room queries, helping customers with sizing or finding alternative styles.
7. Managing customer returns and exchanges, ensuring the process is smooth and efficient.
8. Assisting with stock deliveries and ensuring new products are displayed properly.
9. Promoting and upselling products to customers where appropriate, in line with store promotions or incentives.
10. Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe shopping environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. A friendly and approachable personality, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
2. Previous retail experience, ideally in a clothing or fashion environment.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers from all walks of life.
4. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
5. A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
