About The Role Shop Assistant

Location: Reform Street, Dundee

Hours: No fixed hours

What does a day in the life of a Shop Assistant involve?

  1. Assisting the shop manager to run a customer-focused shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
  2. Helping to create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.
  3. Confidently working on the shop floor, being the first point of contact for customers, operating the till, and creating striking displays.
  4. Being responsible for sorting stock and preparing items for display, behind the scenes.

What does it take to be a successful Shop Assistant?

  • Previous experience of working in a retail environment and confidence in handling money.
  • Strong communication skills, thriving on providing excellent customer service and enjoying meeting different people.
  • A commercial savvy mindset, with a grasp of hitting targets.
  • An ability to anticipate and meet each customer's needs and delight them with the service provided.
