Executive Network Legal Limited in Newcastle is seeking a Shipping Solicitor (NQ+) to join a leading international team on a varied range of shipping matters, offering high-quality work, excellent benefits and hybrid working.

You will handle recoveries, vessel arrests and bills of lading disputes, conduct sanction checks, draft terms and conditions, and advise clients including P&I clubs, shipping companies, freight forwarders, ports and terminals.

Qualifications

• NQ+ Solicitors with a genuine interest in Shipping Law.
• Previous experience in shipping or maritime matters is preferred.
• Strong academics and a good understanding of commercial disputes.

Responsibilities

• Recoveries, vessel arrests and bills of lading disputes.
• Sanction checks.
• Preparing and reviewing standard terms and conditions.
• Advising clients including P&I Clubs, shipping companies, freight forwarders, ports and terminals.
• Work closely with senior colleagues on complex matters and develop technical expertise.
