Job summary

ANT Recruitment in the Maritime sector seeks an experienced Captain Master to lead the transfer of a vessel during relocation. This role carries full command responsibility, ensuring safe navigation and regulatory compliance while directing the crew through the operation.

The position requires STCW Master and ENG1 certificates, plus at least 3 years command experience on vessels under 500GT, with the ability to mobilise to the South East England within 3 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW Master Certificate of Competency is required.
• Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate is required.
• Minimum of 3 years command experience on vessels under 500GT.
• Clean criminal record; background check mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of a vessel and assume full command during relocation.
• Ensure safe navigation and compliance with COLREGS, SOLAS, ISM Code.
• Conduct predeparture safety checks and risk assessments.
• Lead and manage the crew, ensuring discipline and safety.
• Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders throughout the voyage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full command of the vessel, overseeing all navigational and operational aspects.
• Ensure compliance with COLREGS, SOLAS, ISM Code, and other relevant maritime regulations.
• Conduct predeparture safety checks and risk assessments.
• Lead and manage the crew, ensuring operational discipline and safety.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders throughout the voyage.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW Master Certificate of Competency.
• Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years command experience on vessels under 500GT.
• Clean criminal record (background check mandatory).
• Ability to mobilise to the South East England region within 3 hours of alert.
