Ship Operator (Tankers) - London - Permanent - Competitive Salary

A leading shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for a Ship Operator to join their team in London. In this position, you will be coordinating the delivery of bunker fuel to their fleet across Europe.

Duties will include

  • Coordinate and arrange bunker fuel deliveries for fleet operations in Europe.
  • Hold tenders for bunker fuel purchases.
  • Verify purchasing prices on debit notes from suppliers.
  • Input bunkering data into the purchasing system.
  • Cover operations for USEC/US Gulf/Panama when needed.
  • Meet with local bunker suppliers, trading houses, and oil companies.
  • Attend bunker conferences.
  • Promptly handle orders from operators and place orders with suppliers.
  • Maintain communication with operators regarding order changes, vessel movements, or issues.

To be considered for this position you will have a proven track record of working within ship operations within the Tankship industry and have purchasing experience. Bunkering experience isn’t essential but desirable.
