Babcock International Group is seeking a Ship Manager at the Rosyth site to lead critical shipbuilding activities for the Royal Navy’s Type 31 programme. You will oversee outfit installation delivery through vessel acceptance, and shape the project through strategic planning and resource leadership.
The role requires significant leadership experience in related sectors, strong delivery and budgeting skills, and a solid understanding of HSE regulations.

As a Ship Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll take a leading role in delivering critical shipbuilding activities that directly support the future capability of the Royal Navy. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the safe and successful delivery of outfit installation activities through to vessel acceptance on the Type 31 programme, one of the most important defence projects in the United Kingdom today. You'll influence complex operational decisions, lead large multidisciplinary teams, and help shape the future of naval engineering while advancing your own leadership career in a high-profile programme environment.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 – 16:45 and is based on site at Rosyth.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
