Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Ship Controls Trainer to deliver Astute Class ship control training in a site-based setting. The role offers a salary between 45,000 and 47,000 GBP, dependent on experience, with excellent holiday entitlement and pension benefits.

The successful candidate will possess defence-grade qualifications, be able to deliver classroom-based training, and manage learning progress and documentation. Training resources are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ship control systems operations.
• Experience in Submarine Control Room management.
• Qualification as Operations Warrant Officer or Senior rating in Royal Navy Submarine Service.
• Ability to deliver classroom-based training with full training resources provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Astute Class Ship Control training in a classroom setting.
• Assist with training design and material updates.
• Coach and motivate learners throughout the training programme.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Mark and assess learners' work and provide feedback on performance.
• Ensure lesson plans and training sessions are developed and up to date.
• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are followed in the training area.
